Our story
Our most cherished family memories were disappearing in plain sight.
It started with a box of old photographs in a closet, a stack of handwritten index cards fading in a kitchen drawer, and a long video of a holiday gathering that nobody had rewatched in years.
Social networks made it easy to share fleeting daily moments but offered no real sanctuary for heritage. Genealogy platforms had vast record databases, yet left ancestors feeling like static lists of names, dates, and black-and-white charts.
We built MotherTree to be something better: a living digital archive where family history feels personal, connected, and authentically human.
